These tapes were recorded by Dave LaDelfa (and others) in the late 1980s and early 1990s in the studios of KCSB-FM Santa Barbara, the radio station on the campus of UCSB.

Marathon seven-hour broadcast of 22 September 1990, 2-9 a.m. Dave LaDelfa, Chris Ball, Ryan Gold, Dave Cash, and Laura Johnson (at the beginning) debate and harrass phone callers; LaDelfa and Ball (alone by the final hour of it) progressively deconstruct audio from earlier in the show.

Substituting in Jason Brown's timeslot, Dave mixes tapes of his own ambient-leaning compositions (including the previous day's "Etude") for two hours, prompting listeners to phone the station, proclaiming the music "garbage" and its creator a "fag."
